Philippines mourns after the Execution of 3 Pinoys in China
The whole Filipino nation is still mourning after the three Filipinos convicted of drug trafficking were executed in China today. Despite the public appeals made by the Philippine government and the various pleas from different international organizations, the Chinese government remained firm with its decision to subject the Filipino convicts to lethal injection.
In 2008, Elizabeth Batain, Sally Ordinario-Villanueva and Ramon Credo were caught smuggling several kilograms of heroin each in China where they have also been detained for a couple of years. Solid in its policy against illegal drugs, China as a communist country holds on to its law that the trafficking of at least 50 grams of any illicit drug is punishable by death. Fact is there have been many Chinese nationals and other foreigners who suffered the same fate. Thus, many believed that it was indeed a more hopeless case for the three Filipinos. And truly it was!
"It is a sad day for us, up to the last minute we were doing everything we can to postpone the execution," Vice-President Jejomar Binay said in a radio interview from Qatar. The Vice-President sent an appeal on Tuesday asking to keep the three Filipinos alive. However, his request was not granted. It could be remembered that he flew to Beijing in February and gained a brief delay of the death sentences.
The three suffered their execution today, March 30, 2011. Elizabeth Batain, 38, was executed by lethal injection at a prison in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen. Sally Ordinario-Villanueva, 32, and Ramon Credo, 42, were executed in the port city of Xiamen.
Earlier today, their family members were allowed to visit them as prayer vigils and masses were held in the Philippines.

Diana Arevalo: A Tale of Beauty in Perfection
If there’s a word that defines Diana Arevalo, it is majestic. She, despite the drought of her publicity because she is not hyped over the highway of information called the internet, has her own way of making herself the blueprint of a queenly beauty whose class, radiance and glamour leave spectators in spellbound. The brown-skinned lass from Oriental Mindoro knows how to play her game so well – that when each muse from the bevy of beauties runs for glitter and fame in chaotic bedlam, she exudes her natural gift of exquisiteness placidly as if her serene splendor tiptoes amidst the rushing time. And there she is, standing tall and elegantly like a swan queen, so feminine that leaves you breathtaking in awe and wonder; yet so ferocious that robs your innocence and fear that she might slip off your yearning sight at a wink.
The big sideway curls, the conspicuous jaws and cheekbones, the aquiline nose, the cavernous, dark eyes, the shapely full lips, the curvaceous body – who could ignore such arresting presence? And when you finally drafted your list of whom you think should snitch the coveted crowns, you’d be left in second thought and devastating contemplation that the lady should cap on your top roll. That in silence you would remember her articulated thought, destructing your prior belief on how personified beauty should be defined – an exuding charm beautifully clothed in naturalness and polished by grounded character, self-assured stage buoyancy and loquacious intellect.
From Mount Olympus that is the island of Mindoro, she descended to respond to the call of a recognition which not all women could valiantly answer. She stepped down in grace as if the muses in heavens sprinkle her moves with admirable refinement. In the metropolis, all eyes are nailed at her, pondering on the transformation that she now possesses as the woman of everyone’s envy. She has her share of her blemished flaws on stage just like the white swan that is encumbered to be black at a glance; however, you will still love her for the entire woman that she is, proving herself worthy of conquering the universe!

Eat Bulaga Remains in Kapuso Network
It’s official! "Eat Bulaga!" will not be moving to another network.
Top-rating Philippine noontime show "Eat Bulaga!" will still be in the Kapuso network. The show which stars Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon will air as a GMA-7 show for another three years. This is after TAPE Inc., the producer of the country's longest running television show, signed an extension contract with GMA-7 on March 11. This undertaking means that "Eat Bulaga!" will continue to be aired on the network until 2015.
GMA Network chief executive officer Felipe Gozon, and Gilberto Duavit, chief operating officer were present during the contract signing. TAPE Inc. president and chief executive officer Tony Tuviera and senior vice-president Malou Choa-Fagar were also present. Meanwhile "Eat Bulaga!" hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, Ruby Rodriquez, Anjo Yllana, Jimmy Santos, and Allan K also graced the occasion.
"Eat Bulaga!" has been with GMA-7 network for almost sixteen years after it moved from ABS-CBN in 1995. It started its more than three decades of dominance in the noontime slot with RPN-9 in 1979 then transferred to ABS-CBN
in 1989.

Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. Fires Bianca Paz
Binibining Pilipinas 2011 is one of the most controversial events this year. The most anticipated beauty pageant in the country as always is filled with controversies and issues that are spreading like fire.
After Grendel Alvarado and Jen Olivar were fired by the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) because of nude photos taken during their participation for Breast Cancer Awareness, it’s now Bianca Paz who was caught in the issue.
Bianca Paz, who was a returning candidate in Bb. Pilipinas, was fired because of her nude photos scandal. At the moment, Bianca has never spoken regarding the issue but she gave a statement via her Facebook account:
"I would like to clear things up regarding the issue for the FIRST and LAST time. To make a long story short, I took part in a calendar shoot 2 years ago which never came to mind as a possible hindrance for my participation in the Binibining Pilipinas pageant as I made sure that the finished result would not be less than tasteful and even of editorial standard before being published. Unfortunately, BPCI did not have the same opinion of the said shoot and so as of today I have been officially DISQUALIFIED. I would also like to make clear that there are NO, I repeat, NO nude photos or "sex videos" anywhere existing. I respect and accept BPCI's decision and refuse to make the issue any bigger than it already is. I only ask that everyone does the same and refrain themselves from making false judgments and ignorant accusations towards me and anyone else involved. At this point, it’s all very unnecessary. Instead, I encourage everyone to show support to all remaining candidates and... well... Enjoy the show! This is, after all, "entertainment". I want to thank everyone that has supported me. God bless and I love you all!"
Now, the big question is – who is next???
