Similar reports confirmed that his remains will be escorted by full combat of military men from Arlington Memorial Chapel to St. Ignatius Cathedral. The final mass and necrological service will be held at General Headquarters canopy.
According to ABS-CBN, his body will be laid in his resting place at Libingan ng mga Bayani on Sunday, February 13 where he would be given a 21-gun salute.
Recently, it was questioned if Angelo Reyes will be given a Catholic burial since he committed suicide. Suicide is regarded as mortal sin in Catholic religion. However, Bishop Leonardo Medroso, CBCP Episcopal Commission on Cannon chairman said that Catholic church considered a person who committed suicide be given a religious burial if he/she is not on his mental state, just like Angelo Reyes.
Angelo Reyes died in 66 because of a gunshot wound at his chest brought by his suicidal plan last Tuesday in front of his mother's tomb.
