Class Suspension July 28, 2011 (Thursday) due to Typhoon Juaning in Elementary, Highschool and Colleges

4rd Update: Quoted from the announcement of DepEd via Twitter account. Here are the announcements regarding class suspension.

CAR: Only kindergarten classes suspended in Abra today, July 28.

Region 2: All classes suspended in Kindergarten only.

Region 1: Due to Storm Signal No. 1, classes in Kinder are automatically suspended in Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, Pangasinan, and La Union.

Region 5: Classes remain suspended from Kinder to HS in the divisions of Albay & the city divisions of Tabaco, Ligao & Legazpi.

Kindergarten classes are automatically suspended in areas under signal number 1.

CALABARZON will resume classes today except in Rosario, Cavite where classes remain suspended as declared by Mayor Ricafrente.

Region 3: No classes in kindergarten. Other levels upon the discretion of school heads/LGUs.

NCR will resume classes today, July 28, except Tonsuya Elementary School in Malabon, classes remain
suspended from kinder to grade 2 only.

Department of Education said that classes in all levels will be resumed in Region 5 today (July 28, 2011) except in Albay.

NCR class suspensions, according to DepEd, will be announced after the release of PAGASA's 4:00 am weather bulletin tomorrow. The department also said that class suspensions are made in agreement with Chief Executives of local government units. (Read the PAGASA latest weather news)

DepEd Undersecretary Tonisito Umali said that except for Rosario Cavite, suspension of classes in pre-school, elementary and highschool in affected areas will be announced tomorrow July 28, 2011 at 4:00 AM (interview by DZMM).

Mayor Ricafrente of Rosario, Cavite through the Department of Education (DepEd) declared suspension of classes in preschool, elementary and highschool tomorrow (July 28, 2011) because of flooded areas.

Most of the preschool, elementary, highschool/secondary and tertiary classes were suspended on July 27, 2011 (Wednesday) due to the heavy rains brought by typhoon Juaning. Now, the question of students and parents is, "Are classes suspended tomorrow July 28, 2011 (Thursday) at all levels?"

As per guidelines of the Department of Education (DepEd), classes in preschool will be postponed at Signal No. 1 while elementary and secondary classes will be suspended at Signal No. 2.

As reported, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) is not releasing the list of schools to be suspended. The decision on suspension of classes in tertiary/college levels depends on the college or university officials. (View CHED guidelines)

Stay tuned for the most recent updates about possible July 28, 2011 suspension of classes.

  57. No wonder education in Phil. drops...its because of those people who choose to ignore their obligations as a student...guys wake up??? many kids out there want to study but couldn't, not just because of lack of money but sometimes they were differently able or most of the time has to work in early age to help their family survive. I hope this would serve as an eye opener that you should grab every chances that you have to study and graduate, but not only to graduate but to accomplish something worthwhile...

  65. I can't wait to go back to class. My parents work so hard so I could go to college and prepare myself to work and make money for rich people.

I am going to dedicate my whole life to my career as an employee. I will give all I can and be all I can be for the corporations.

I do this because this is what society wants from me.

  67. My prayer:

Lord, for tomorrow please make it sure that students from kinder to high school like me will have no classes tomorrow in Batangas City please because I need my extra time for studying in CSAT (College Scholastic Ability Test) By giving extra time, I can have more chances to pass the test if I studied so long and memorized all lessons that I encountered especially in math. Thank you Lord.

    Regards,
    Romnick Mamisay

    ReplyDelete
  68. Romnick, how about others for those who want classes? If you don't want to attend, be absent! If you don't want to have classes, be absent! What's the problem? Your CSAT? Ok, if you don;t want to attend tomorrow, make an excuse letter and give it to the teacher the next day after tomorrow. That's it! Very easy task..

    ReplyDelete
  69. Thank you for your selfish prayer my child. I will enjoy seeing you soon...

    Regards,

  70. This goes for those who do not want classes to be suspended because of waste of tuition:

Just take advantage of the time you are given. This is meant to be and you have to grasp the moment while it lasts. Maybe it's about time you spent your time and energy only for yourself. Don't think about school, or any of your problems and sacrifices at all. Just lie in bed, think of happy moments, or daydream even. Maybe in a way it'll also help you get your priorities straight.

    ReplyDelete
  71. may pasok po ba ??

COME ON DEP-ED, just announce it!!

People who wants no classes: 4,129,673
    People who wants classes: 5,872,180

This is not by using stock knowledge, I'm already a demographer and I know how to compute the total number of population (like wants classes and don't want) by memorizing the formulas.

Hindi naman din nila nahahabol ang lessons kasi may mga susunod pa silang i-didiscuss. Bwiset tong colegio namin. Sila lang kumikita sa tuition namin. Ksalanan ba ng mga teachers na ma suspend classes? Tapos bawal pa make-up class. anong klase namang school tong napasukan ko? Makalipat na nga next sem.

  113. Hay, I'm working on my thesis and I NEED to access the college library. I NEED a class also as a preparation for our board exam next year. Hay, I hope that the rain will stop. AND I HOPE THAT THOSE STUDENTS ABOVE WILL GROW UP.

COME TO THINK OF IT, WHEN YOU'RE WORKING, WORK DOESN'T GET SUSPENDED. WHEN YOU'RE REVIEWING FOR A BOARD EXAM, CLASS DOESN'T GET SUSPENDED.

Come on, people. Please don't be so selfish. Don't pray JUST to favor yourself (because you're lazy and blahhhhss..) Grow up.

    Your parents should be alarmed.

And as for you people who didn't get the suspensions you wanted, it's because you haven't prayed enough to Lord Papa Brother GodJesus.

    Next time, maybe you should think about us 5,872,180 gay and atheist prostitutes who need your precious allowance money just to continue living. Bawwwww ;_;
