Filipinos will be punished and banned in Hong Kong?

There are rumors circulating the net that Filipinos will be punished, killed and banned in Hong Kong from now on. This is in connection with the hostage taking incident happened at Quirino GrandStand by a Philippine Police officer (Rolando Mendoza) where 8 of Hong Kong nationals killed. This black alert level given by the Security Bureau of Hong Kong SAR indicates the severe threat on traveling inside the Philippine territory.

“We declare war to Philippines, any Filipino people stepped, willing to step or is in still in HongKong, will be punished to death!” We hope that these phrases circulating the net are just mere statements of those angry Hong Kong citizens and will not be putted into reality. Let us not generalize Filipino citizens, there might be others who are setting the country's image into the dark side but there are also people who are trying to raise the country after this trauma.

What is your reaction about this? Please feel free to use the comment box below regarding this new issue about Filipino workers.

  6. For you to scrutinze Filipinos as all self righteous hypocrites is a big mistake on your behalf. Those on wordexpress yahoo may have seemed self righteous to you, but that does not represent an entire race. It is not the ordinary citizens' fault that this tragedy had occurred by the individual who had chosen to take such a drastic action. The Philippine police is also at fault for letting eight innocent individuals to perish.
I was born in Canada and Filipino and I completely hold the Philippine police responsible and am relieved that the corruption of the police force has been revealed.
This should not escalate into a war against races because we simply do not have the jurisdiction to take a human life even though some may deem it reasonable.

  7. As the the murder took event...for now, all we have to do is to pray and perhaps understand how they (HONKONG NATIONALS)felt and saddend the death of 8 people...oftentimes, Filipinos forgot to reflect...we become self righteous and that is true...

We have to respect their views and their feelings. We are sorry for what had happened, we cannot undo the event that took place 2 days ago... God bless us!

  10. please,i'm a filipino working a decent job here in hongkong.i know i've done no harm towards my chinese friends..but i somehow felt so ashamed of what that ex cop did.and for the phil police, i felt sorry for them for lack of training, lack of assistance on the government, but still brave enough or maybe dumb enough to face life threatening situations without a proper armor.sadly everything fell out of hands..blame the media for abusing their freedom, even the most sensitive humane dignity is on the line..yet they still gave infos..please be sensible enough for us who just work for our families back home..we also condemn of what has transpired..god bless hongkong...and may god bless my country as well..

  11. hmmmm if thats the case, what will happen to those HK Nationals in Divisoria?

  12. only a moron would believe that, can anyone seriously see that happening on today's day-and-age? there would probably be some discrimination that's going to happen, but not a "punished to death" situation.

  13. it is understandable that people would react violently in view of what took place in the Philippines especially if they are the family of the victims. let us just pray that they will be objective and will not think of having revenge on the innocent Filipinos who are working hard to support their families

  14. WHAT ABOUT THE WAR CRIMES JAPAN DID TO THE CHINESE ESPECIALLY HONG KONG DURING WORLD WAR 2 WHICH KILLED THOUSANDS OF INNOCENT CHINESE LIVES? If the hong kong citizens are gonna say that the hostage killing is a more saddening tragedy than what japan did, this proves the hong kong people are no different from people like Mendoza.
They want war, bring it to Philippinesoil

  15. what good will come out of war? and to the this filipino who is saying bring it on, do u fully understand what u are asking for? are u willing to risk the life of your neighbors? your loved ones? for what? be careful of what u wish for..u might get it.

  16. we respect their right to be angry for a while, but not to the extent of over-reacting on that...Never blame Juan's shortcomings to Peter and Marias. If they are people who have a wider brainwave level like Mr. Jacky Chan, they would easily understand that not all 90 million Filipinos have the same way of thinking, to the point of calling us monkeys. Excuse us? if we are monkeys, you are also part of the theory of evolution

hongkong lost less than 10 of their citizens but didn't they realized that they killed thousand in the MELAMIN issue alot of filipino and foreigners were died and affected!

if they banned those filipinos in hongkong shouldn't we also banned the hongkong n chinesed people in the world who are the reasons why thousands of people around the world suffered from melamin to lead poisoning?

    isnt?
chinese people just show their real traits!

God love the world including all races especially Filipino and Chinese.the reality these two countries are friends.for me the bad reaction is normal because of very bad that had happen but we should not focus on that "BEST IS YET TO COME"Why Worry that we can still pray to GOd whi is living God who is the source of PEACE.Let the Peace reigns and not the WAR.Only the devil wants war and i believed we are all loving people who love to LOvE one another.God richly bless us all......

  24. True the Philippine Government is at deep shit ("BLAME MANILA EGOTISTIC POLITICS") but clearly HK is just overacting. They can't go to war or even kill us because, if they do that they will become Bigots themselves. The Philippine Government never held a grudge on HK's and China's "SECRET" Domestic Helper Killings and Human Trafficking even though deep down Filipinos everywhere are infuriated with this acts. Mindoza was another corrupted human being and can't be associated to other Filipinos capable of seeing the right ways.
