Mar Roxas is the new DOTC Secretary - replaced Ping de Jesus

Former Senator Mar Roxas II has accepted the offer of Malacanang to be the new secretary of the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC), according to recent reports.

He will replaced Ping de Jesus after he resigned for a not-yet-clarified reason last week.


Similar reports noted that Roxas accepted the DOTC Secretary position offer after a 3 hour meeting. Mar Roxas is the former running mate of Ninoy Aquino, President of the Philippines in the 2010 Presidential elections. However, he was lost over Jejomar Binay, the former Makati City Mayor.
