Kris Aquino just laughed off the issue linking her to ABS-CBN broadcast journalist Ted Failon. "The issue was actually taken at a wrong context", Kris remarked in an interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal. The popular TV host-actress who plays the lead role in the Star Cinema MMFF Entry "Dalaw". According to Kris, she was the one who actually initiated the "date" issue. It was during her interview in TV Patrol World last December 7 wherein she was asked about the date of the premiere night. Kris, being naturally bubbly and outspoken, instead remarked that her brother, President Ninoy Aquino will be watching it with a "date" whom she did not name.
During the same live interview in ABS-CBN, Kris even teased Failon, referring that the latter does not want to go on a date with her. Immediately after this, Kris had to clarify herself in interviews mentioning that this "date issue" spurred out of her wanting to get even with Failon. That had something to do with the lovelife of President Aquino which Failon vouched Kris not to tell anyone. So she just took the issue as something friendly since Failon is a good friend of her.
Kris ended up that she wasn't expecting Failon to be the one interviewing her. However, she may not have shaken someone like Failon but with this "date issue" between them, Kris will sell again like rice cakes plus a Christmas movie to watch out for from her.
