Gretchen Feels Grateful for ABS-CBN

Controversial actress Gretchen Barretto feels thankful to the Kapamilya Network for giving her the stature as one of its most bankable stars. She is all smiles remembering how ABS-CBN gave her the biggest comeback break via an episode in “Maalaala Mo Kaya” which earned her the recognition as best actress in the 24th Star Awards for Television. Her teleserye “Magkaribal” with Bea Alonzo and Angel Aquino also enabled her to showcase her acting prowess as her remarkable performance as Victoria was also recognized by different award-giving bodies.

Gretchen also lives up to her image as a star and fashion diva at the recent launching of her own perfume label. In an interview with Mario Dumawal of ABS-CB News, she revealed the plans of her home network, ABS-CBN, for the year 2011. "My bosses just told me it's final! I will start my new teleserye with Angelica Panganiban. A lot of surprises in casting!" she said.

But when the interview went to the reported gap between her and her younger sister, actress Claudine Barretto, she kept mum about the matter.

During the launch of her perfume label, Gretchen garbs herself in a gown by fashion designer Inno Sotto as she glitters in the multi-million diamond ring and earring set from partner, business tycoon Tonyboy Cojuangco. The Friday night event also served as despedida for her who is set to go to the US for a vacation this Christmas break with her partner and their daughter Dominique.

“It is a well-deserved vacation after her hard work this year. This is the best year of my life! I really thank ABS-CBN," Gretchen further sighed hoping to have a great year ahead with the Kapamilya Network.
