Typhoon Juan Update: 1:00 PM October 18, 2010 by PAGASA

PAGASA - DOST (Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration) released an hourly update regarding the Super typhoon "Juan" that fell to Northern Luzon.Based on an hourly update that they have released at 1:00 PM this afternoon of October 18, 2010.


As of 1:00 p.m., today (Monday, 18 October 2010), Typhoon "JUAN" was located at 50 kms Southeast of Tuguegarao City (17.3°N, 122.1°E) with maximum sustained winds of 225 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 260 kph. Moving West Southwest at 17 kph. Estimated central pressure: 922 hpa.
Landfall area: Sierra Madre Mt. Estagno Point At Divilacan Peak at 11:25 AM , 100% CIR. Eye Distance 140 kms East Southeast of Aparri, Cagayan..
